Coaching is not just a workout. Education, planning, and execution delivered in conjunction achieve results in a safe, predictable way. Everyone’s exercise prescription is customized based on our conversation during your appointment. Maybe you have a weight loss goal in which case we could focus on dialing in your nutrition, or adding in some lower intensity exercise. Maybe you want to get stronger and more flexible for golf so you do some training with an individualized focus on lifting and stretching.

Meet Your Coaches

 ALEXIS FANG, BS, NASM-CPT

Hello, I'm Alexis! I was a bit of a late bloomer in my fitness journey. Needing an emotional outlet as a young man, I experimented with lifting weights as a cathartic way of dealing with stress, and sure enough I caught the bug! I noticed how much better I felt after exercising regularly. Once I enrolled at Portland State University I found many opportunities to explore different avenues of fitness. I continued to practice weight lifting with more robust equipment, learned and coached kickboxing, and practiced yoga among other athletic pursuits. I've always been drawn to work that helps people, especially from more vulnerable populations, and earned my Bachelor's of Arts in Social Work. After graduating, I worked with youth in foster care, coaching pro-social behaviors through empowering programs.

Not long after, I decided to pivot to a career as a personal trainer. I worked in a commercial gym for seven years prior to joining Alex at Alacrity Fitness. In that time I gained thousands of hours of experience working with individuals of different backgrounds and physical capabilities. I focus on functional and practical fitness training so that anyone can feel confident about moving their body and gaining strength.

Now I'm excited to be part of Alacrity Fitness and look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

ALEX HASKINS, BS, CMES, CPT

Hi!  My name is Alex and I'm the owner and master trainer here at Alacrity Fitness. I was involved in just about every sport possible when I was younger, but didn't continue with any sports in college. I still needed a competitive outlet though, and so I took up weight training. This soon evolved into a degree in Exercise and Movement science and a personal training career.  After a herniated disc forced me to reevaluate my own training, I became interested in the rehab side of coaching. Years of work in rehab settings, working with athletes at the highest competitive level as well as with the everyday exerciser has given me a comprehensive understanding of how to most effectively and safely train people regardless of where they are starting. I’m personally an avid golfer and dog dad. I’d love nothing more than bringing my passion for fitness to anyone looking for help!
